Cleo is a beautiful 5 year old English Bulldog who is mostly white with a little brindle patch over her left eye. Prior to coming to her foster home, she had a couple litters of puppies and then was passed around to several different owners & homes. The last owner could not afford the surgery Cleo needed to save her from a life-threatening uterine infection. So that’s how she came to us at Indiana Bulldog Rescue. We were able to get her the surgery she needed and she is now a very happy, healthy girl. Cleo has been spayed and is up-to-date on her shots.
Even with a rough start in life, Cleo is a very sweet and affectionate girl. Although she is an adult, her facial features are very puppy like. On the short-side and a little pudgy, we’ve nicknamed her “Little Miss Pound Cake”. Cleo loves kids, although she has only been around children 6 years and older. She hasn’t met anyone she doesn’t like. When she greets people, her whole body waddles and shakes... It’s pretty cute!
In her foster home, she lives with a bully brother and sister. Most of the time she gets along with them fairly well, but can become aggressive with them over attention and affection. She definitely wants to be the dominant bully in the house. It would probably be best for her to be the only dog or have a submissive sibling. Please know that it will take some patience and work to integrate Cleo with your established four-legged family members.
Cleo is healthy and does not require any daily medications. However, she will require some daily hygienic care. Her tushy will need to be cleaned after each poo. Her foster momma thinks this because of her short and squatty poo stance. In addition, she has deep folds around her vulva which require daily cleaning to prevent infection. Oh yes! And don’t forget about cleaning those adorable facial wrinkles. Cleo is fully potty-trained and crate-trained.
Cleo would make a very faithful companion. She loves attention, affection and snuggling but is also laid back enough to enjoy her pillow and couch time. If you think you can give Cleo the forever loving home she deserves, please fill out the application today!
CISSY - ADOPTED!
Cissy came to rescue after being passed around and being sold on Craigslist. The last owner just could not afford her care. She has chronic dry eye that requires drops for the rest of her life. She is very sweet, but does not like other dogs sniffing her face as her sight is impaired (no wonder!). She gives a warning growl. Her ears are currently infected severely and we are working to get that cleared up for her. With consistent care she should be ready for her forever family soon.
CHESTER - ADOPTED!
Chester came into rescue with his brother Mingo. Their owner could no longer afford to care for them. Chester has mid dry eye and will require eye meds and drops for the rest of his life. Mingo is a very sweet boy looking for love. He came to rescue with his brother Chester, because his owner could no longer afford to care for him. He has dry eye which will require medication and eye drops for the rest of his life.
MAGGIE LOU - ADOPTED!
Maggie Lou is such a sweet girl. She came to rescue as a stray. She is spayed, up to date on her shots and just a sweet little bully girl. Maggie will require a fully fenced yard, we do not adopt out of state.
GRACIE - ADOPTED!!
Gracie was another shelter dog before she came into rescue. Her family dumped her there because they didn't want to deal with her health issues.
She just had entropian surgery and some really infected ears, which made her grouchy. Can you blame her? Gracie has come a long way since getting her health issues cleared up and receiving positive reinforcement training. She is truly a clown and loves to kick and fling grass after a good poo. :)
